A Dialogue Based on Real-Life Scenarios
“How can I entrust my story to someone I’ve never met?” Prospective Client judiciously inquires.
“We don’t know each other, but my word is my bond. I am an empath, a confidante, and a non-judgmental, impartial ally in the process of writing your book. I have been in the industry for years, and I will listen to and reflect your thoughts in the written word as though you composed the text yourself,” I reply reassuringly.
“That sounds too good to be true. Why should I believe you?” Prospective Client persists.
“Disingenuousness serves no one. My career never would have survived throughout time had I comported myself in that way,” I answer decisively.
A leap of faith ensues; Prospective Client signs on; I am elated; Client feels relieved but remains tentative for a few days until we complete the preliminary outline. Suddenly, a huge weight lifts from Client’s shoulders—an almost palpable sense of freedom.
As I build on a series of questions gleaned from each interview or recorded answers, Client and I bond and feel as if we have known each other forever. Words funnel through my mind and slip through my fingertips like sands through an hourglass.
“I never believed that writing a book could be this easy and enjoyable,” Client declares. “You are my psychologist who brings out my innermost thoughts—with a touch of ESP.”
“That’s what occurs when clients and ghosts establish a human connection. Such is the nature of the creative process: conceptualization, information conferring, receiving, and interpretation. You are the idea, the voice; I am the conduit through which your message flows and takes shape.”
Within five months or fewer, what was once a dream takes flight and morphs into an acclaimed book that builds trust, inspires, uplifts, and communicates a message others want to hear. The collective heart enlarges as Client reaches out to others and receives accolades in turn.
Our initial conversation engendered pure magic, a heart-bond with humanity, an indelible feeling of accomplishment, and contribution to the collective. A change agent is born.
